  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • 1 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Unicorn Vanilla Morsels

Make It

Step 1

Preheat oven to 225° F. Place sheets of parchment on baking sheets. *If using a convection oven, be sure to use the low fan setting.

Step 2

Whisk egg whites and cornstarch in a large mixer bowl on medium speed until egg whites are foamy. Turn speed to high, and begin to add spoonfuls of sugar at a time. Continue mixing after each addition. Add salt and vanilla extract, and continue to mix until mixture holds stiff peaks. * If using food coloring, add gel at this time and mix to desired shade. Using a tablespoon or piping bag and round tip, place tablespoon-sized dollops of batter onto prepared baking sheets 1-2 inches apart. Gently press morsels into cookies for desired Unicorn effect.

Step 3

Bake for 1 hour, then turn oven off and leave clouds in the oven for an additional 30-45 minutes, or until meringues are crisp. Remove baking sheets from oven and place onto wire rack. Clouds can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
