Bake 18-20 minutes until wooden pick comes out clean. Place on cooling rack and let brownies cool completely.

Scald heavy cream in small saucepan over medium heat. Pour warm cream over remaining 1/2 cup morsels in a medium bowl; add remaining 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, and stir together.

Step 6

Spread glaze over pan of brownies; let glaze set before cutting brownies into bars.
