- ●1 pound strawberries, hulled and sliced 1/4-inch thick
- ●1 cup plus 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, divided
- ●1 cup (6-ounce package) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
- ●1/2 cup heavy cream
- ●2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- ●1 teaspoon baking powder
- ●1 teaspoon baking soda
- ●1 teaspoon salt
- ●1 1/4 cups (2 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
- ●1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- ●2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ●2 large eggs
- ●1/4 cup milk
- ●2 cups (12-ounce package) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Morsels
Make It
Step 1
Toss berries and 2 tablespoons sugar in a medium bowl; set aside.
Step 2
Heat semi-sweet chocolate morsels and cream in a medium bowl set over, not in, a pan of simmering water. Once the morsels have started to melt, remove from heat and stir until saucy. Set bowl aside over the warm water.
Step 3
Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a small bowl.
Step 4
Beat butter, remaining 1 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract with an electric mixer in a large bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the milk.
Step 5
Add in flour mixture switching to hand mixing when the mixture becomes too thick for the beaters. Finally, stir through the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Morsels.
Step 6
Bake on medium-low heat in Belgian waffle maker according to manufacturer's directions (approx. 3-4 minutes)
Step 7
Serve drizzled with chocolate sauce and berries.
