Whisk together the flour, baking cocoa, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar in a large bowl. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggnog, eggs, butter and vanilla.

Combine eggnog mixture with the flour mixture and stir until just combined. Do not over mix. Stir in chocolate morsels.

Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour waffle batter into waffle iron in batches and cook according to manufacturer’s directions for golden brown waffles – about 2-3 minutes per waffle.
