Directions
- Mix sugar, flour and cocoa. Add to melted butter in large saucepan. Stir in milk and egg yolks.

Cook while stirring constantly until mixture is thick and "bubbling". Remove from heat; add vanilla. Cool slightly and pour into baked deep-dish pie shell.

Make a meringue with egg whites, dash of cream of tartar and small amount of sugar by whipping until stiff and you can form a mound with

beater. Top pie with meringue and bake at 350°F. until meringue browns lightly.

Refrigerate after it is cool.
