Yum! These taste just like a favorite recipe my mom made when I was little. These are quick and easy to make and come out very moist and cake-like. They are great for a healthy snack!

This has to be the best applesauce spice cake(?) we've ever eaten. While baking, you could smell all through the house. Made your mouth drool. Thanks to contributor for a wonderful idea. Loved it with the powdered sugar on it. We all loved it. Thanks again contributor!

I was looking for a recipe that uses applesauce for quite a while. I was very happy when I found this one. This is a very good recipe. The only thing I need to change is that I need to shorten 25 min. baking time to 20 next time. Normally I have to add more minutes than what recipes suggest, so I just set timer and didn't even check this time. It was a little overcooked (not too bad though). Other than that, it's easy to make, moist, and tasty. I served it with warm apple pie filling and whipped cream on top. This became one of my husband's favorite dessert! Thanks.

This is a great tasting cake. I eliminated the 1/4 tsp. cloves and increased the cinnamon to 1 tsp. It is excellent. Thanks!

I read the other reviews before making and agree with the omission of the cloves and increasing the cinnamon. This is easy and wonderful-try. I will make often!

This recipe is almost identical to the one my sister-in-law gave me that I made last week. The only difference is that I used chopped apples instead of applesauce, but I think they would be equally delicious.
