My kids like oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies, and this recipe provides both in one cookie. I only used a 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon due to one of the kids not liking it very much. I also used white morsels to make my youngest son happy. I will definitely keep this recipe and make it again..
Worked out fine. I used white whole wheat flour cut out 1/2 the sugar and used pumpkin. They freeze well too. A nice golden color..
These cookies were great... the only thing I would change is maybe next time I'll leave out the cinnamon. In this recipe, the cinnamon almost reminds me too much of oatmeal and less of a choc. chip cookie. I did end up adding 1/2 C more oatmeal because I thought the dough was way too runny; but it didn't flatten out as I feared it would. It kept a great shape and is a hearty, chewy, yummy cookie. Freezes great as well! Next time I'm going to use mini choc. chips and bake them into 'bite size' cookies..
