The perfect brownie treat!
PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan. MELT 1 cup morsels and butter in large, heavy-duty saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat; stir in eggs. Add flour, sugar, baking soda and vanilla extract; stir well.SPREAD batter into prepared baking pan; sprinkle with remaining morsels and walnuts. BAKE for 20 to 25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky. MICROWAVE caramels and milk in small, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring until melted. Drizzle over warm brownies. Cool in pan on wire rack.

Everytime i've made these they were gone instantly and everyone said they were definately the best brownies they had ever had!.
Like another reviewer, I substituted pecans for the walnuts to give them more of a "turtle candy" taste. Although the aroma was good when they came out of the oven, by the next afternoon the chocolate *really* sang. I'll definitely make them again, but I'll plan to bake them a day ahead. The batch was just enough for 4 college kids. :).
These brownies are not only yummy, they are easy to make in a short time. They are best warm, whether not quite cooled totally or microwaved for 10-15 seconds. I make them using 2-8" square pans for 20-22 minutes to make sure the middle cooks through. Hope you enjoy them as much as my family & co-workers did!.
