A delicious change from butter for bread or muffins.
COMBINE pumpkin, sugar, honey, lemon juice, cinnamon and cloves in medium, heavy-duty saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring frequently, for 20 to 25 minutes or until thickened. Serve with biscuits, breads and corn muffins. Store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 2 months.Recipe makes 2 cups.

I made the pumpkin butter yesterday. I tasted it this morning, putting several spoon fulls over my steel cut oats cereal, along with sauted apples. WOW, delicious, so good, easy to make. I'm planning on making this again this week to give to friends and family as gifts..
I've been making apple butter for years and I wanted to try pumpkin butter this year. This recipe sounded quick and easy so I went with it. Glad I did. My husband and all three of my children love it! The only thing I did differently is add about 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg. This recipe has already been added to my favorites!.
