Very tasty and old-fashioned, my Grandma used to make these all the time.

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa (if desired)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. peanut butter
3 c. quick oats

Boil first 4 ingredients for 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and peanut butter; mix thoroughly. Add oats; mix thoroughly again.

Working QUICKLY - sets very quick - drop by teaspoonful onto wax paper. Let stand till set.

If the cocoa is omitted, there's more peanut butter taste.

Makes about 4 dozen cookies.

Not a NESTLÉ®-tested recipe.
