Fresh Apple Cake w/ Glaze

Fresh Apple Cake with Glaze. Note glaze recipe for the cake be with this recipe.


1-1/2 cups cooking oil
2 cups sugar
2 eggs (medium)
3 cups of chopped peeled apples
2-1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup of chopped nuts
1 teaspoon of vanilla

Glaze (ingredients)
1-1/2 cups of powdered sugar
3 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons vanilla


Mix all ingredients for the cake; makes a stiff batter. Pour into a greased and floured 13x9x2inch pan. Bake for 35 - 40 minutes in an oven that has been pre-heated oven to 350 degrees. Test cake with tooth pick in center if it comes out clean it will be done.

Pour glaze on hot cake!

Blend all ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Then pour on top of warm hot cake.
