Home made pizza and hotwrap sandwiches

This is a hamburger pizza and also pizza dough made into a sandwich with spicy fillings inside. The hotwraps can be frozen for quick snacks or even for the lunch boxes for school or like we have for after school snacks.

Ingredients

Pizza dough:

4 cups flour
1 packet yeast (fast acting)
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar (or 1 packet diet sugar)
1 large egg
2 tablespoons liquid grease
1/2 cup carnation evaporated milk
1 cup water (more or less)
Filling: (you can use what ever you like best)
We used the following today...

1 pound of ground beef
1 large can spaghetti sauce
Italian seasoning (to taste)
garlic powder
2 Tablespoons flour

You also need cheese ( can be whichever one you like best)
We used 1 pound of colby-jack and motzarella is excellent also on this

Directions

Pizza:

Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl, make a well in middle and pour milk and egg into the hole and mix up adding water a little at a time until dough is mixed. Grease or flour area you are going to knead the dough on. Knead the dough for at least 5 minutes, separate into two balls and set aside. Now put ground meat into a skillet and cook, drain most of grease off, add seasonings, flour and 1/2 can of spaghetti sauce and 2 cups of water stirring until it thickens a little bit. Set aside covered and go back to the dough. Roll one of the dough balls out to the size of your pizza pan, can be round or square, then fold the dough in half and then in fourths, lift up into pan and then unfold onto the pan. Use your hand to press the dough down from the center out, there will be extra dough on the sides of the pan, just leave it there for now. Pour Part the other half of the can of spaghetti sauce onto the pizza crust and spread out, then pour half of the meat filling onto the pizza crust and top with 8 ounces of cheese, adding extra cheese around the edge of the pan, now roll the extra dough that is hanging on the outside of the pan in toward the center covering the extra cheese around the edges. Set aside and get the other dough ball and roll out very thin. Cut into squares, take each square and put 1 spoonful into square and add a little cheese, then roll over and push edges together and then use fork to press down around the edges. Get an oblong pan and spray with non stick spray lightly, then place the hotwraps in the pan turning upside down and set on the stove until you are ready to put them in the oven. Turn oven on to 400 degrees and put both the pizza and the hotwraps into the oven and cook until browned. Ovens vary so do not over cook. Take out of oven and let cool for 5 minutes and then serve. If you have any leftover dough then roll it out, sprinkle with garlic salt and Italian seasoning and cut into slices and twist around or braid three pieces together or make a rope by rolling back and forth on the table and bake with the other food in oven, brush with butter when you take if from oven.
