This recipe is made with peanut butter, rather than sesame seed paste (tahini). Try it, you'll like it.

Ingredients

2 cups smooth peanut butter
2 cups honey PLUS 2 tablespoons water
1/2 cup Nestle's dark chocolate morsels
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup instant dry milk powder

Directions

In a medium saucepan over low heat, blend honey, water, and chocolate. Stir constantly until chocolate is almost completely melted; remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and the extracts, until mostly combined. Stir in dry milk powder, until completely combined. Knead with nonstick spray-covered hands, to ensure no lumps. If you wish, you can add additional unmelted chips of chocolate at this point. Coat a pie pan with non-stick spray, and, while mixture is still quite warm, pile into pan, patting surface to level. Top with slivered almonds, if desired. Dust top with your choice of sifted cocoa powder, powdered sugar, or both, for added sweetness. Allow to stand for one hour before cutting into 1-inch squares. Makes about 48 squares. Wrap individually for a very different treat or gift. No need to refrigerate.
