What better combination for Valentine's Day than chocolate and cherries!


1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
1 can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten
Ready-to-spread chocolate frosting


Preheat oven to 350º. Spray a 9x13 pan with non-stick spray. Combine all the ingredients, except for the frosting, in a large bowl and stir until well blended. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, frost, and cut into bars.
Optional: may garnish with chopped nuts of your choice.
