My Great Grandmother Laura Faye's Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg beaten
1/2 cup milk

Directions

Combine dry ingredients; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal. Combine egg and milk; stir in enough of the egg mixture to dry ingredients to make a firm dough. Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness on floured surface. Cut into strips, squares, or diamonds with sharp knife. Drop onto simmering food; cover and simmer 10 minutes or until done.

Not a NESTLÉ®-tested recipe.
