Delicious Layered Bars

The variety of textures and flavors is sure to please. Very easy to make. You can substitute different chips and nuts for a different taste.


2 1/2 cups crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers
1/4 cup, butter, melted
2 tsps. vanilla
1 cup coconut, flaked
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup salted peanuts or pecans, chopped


Combine vanilla wafer or graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and vanilla.
Press into a greased and floured 13 X 9 inch baking pan.
Sprinkle coconut, chocolate chips, and butterscotch chips over top.
Pour condensed milk over top; sprinkle with nuts.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-27 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
Cool. Cut into bars or squares.
Store, covered, in refrigerator.
