Pumpkin Sheet Cake

A very good cake. It is good anytime.

Ingredients

1(16ounce) can pumpkin
1 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
4eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ginger

Frosting
1(3ounce) package cream cheese,softened
5 tablespoons softened butter
3-4 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
chopped nuts, if desired

Directions

Cake:
In a mixing bowl beat pumpkin, sugar and oil, add eggs; mix well. Combine flour, baking soda, spices, and salt; add to pumpkin mixture and beat until well blended. Pour into a greased 15"x10"x1" baking pan; bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes, or until cake is done; cool.
Frosting:
Beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla until smooth; gradually add sugar; mix well. Spread onto cooled cake. Sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
