Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar until yeast is softened.
Add salt, oil, and approximately half of the flour. Stir with a spoon until smooth. Add enough remaining flour to make dough easy to handle. Knead until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, and turn to bring greased side up. Let rise until double in bulk. Punch down and let rise again. Divide dough into 2 portions. Roll each portion to a 13-by-9-inch rectangle.
Mix filling ingredients together. Place 1/2 on each rectangle, spreading evenly. Roll up, jelly roll-style. Place into 2 greased 9-by-5-by-3-inch loaf pans. Let rise. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes, or until brown.
