Crush crackers, preferably using a food processor, until very fine. Add nuts and 1 cup Confectioner's sugar, and grind together finely. Turn crumbs into a medium mixing bowl. Add syrup and stir. Add rum and blend thoroughly. Smells great! On a small tray, sift together 1-1/2 cup Confectioner's sugar and cinnamon, forming a small mound in center fo tray. Shape rum balls about 1/2" in diameter with lightly-sugared hands, then roll in sugar and cinnamon. Place sugared rum balls in a tin which has been dusted with a little more Confectioner's sugar. When all rum balls are made, top with any leftover sugar from the tray. Tightly cover. Makes about 48. (Did I mention how great these smell?!)
