1 small head cabbage, cut into very thin shreds; 1/2 stick butter; 1/2 c. savory bread crumbs; 3 1/2 tsp.salt, divided; 1 tsp. sugar.
Melt butter in large skillet. Add bread crumbs and 1/2 tsp. salt. Stir until lightly browned. Set aside. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add remaining salt and cabbage. Boil 4 to 5 minutes only. Drain well. Place cabbage into skillet with bread crumbs and stir fry about a minute. Adjust seasonings as desired.
