Twist to Cornbread

A change from plain cornbread

Ingredients

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup of 1% fat milk
1 egg
1/4 cup low fat margarine

Optional: cut up onion, bellpeppers,and sour cream

Directions

Prehaet oven to 350
Mix first three ingredients together.
In another bowl combine milk and eggs, mix.
Add liquid mix to dry ingredients and optional items.
Add margarine and mix by hand or mixer for 1 minute.
Grease a baking dish or muffin tin.
Bake on 375 for 20 to 25 minutes till golden brown.
