Twinkie Torte

This is a real treat. It's so easy to fix ..and it's a big hit at our house.

Ingredients

8-pkg Twinkies (16 Twinkies)
1-6 oz pkg Nestle semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
5 eggs (separated)
4 TLBS sugar
2 TLBS water
1 medium carton of Cool Whip

Directions

Use a 10 inch spring-form pan. Cut Twinkies into 1/2 inch pieces. Place them into a layer on the bottom of the pan.
Beat the egg whites until stiff & set aside. Melt the chocolate chips..Dissolve the sugar in the water then add the melted chips.
Remove from fire- add the egg yolks (one at a time)..beating well after each addition..
Fold into stiffy beaten egg whites..Pour mixture over the layer of Twinkies..Place more Twinkies on top- end with more mixture..Place into fridge for 24 hrs..Ice with Cool Whip.
