Apple Crisp

With the summer winding down, there are lots of fruits available. This is an old standard that is versatile and always delicious

Ingredients

6-7 Apples (I use golden delicious, but Granny Smith or Pippins are always good too.)
1/4 -1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
3/4 Cup All purpose flour
3/4 Cup Golden Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Oatmeal (quick oats, not instant or old fashioned)
1/2 Cup Butter

Directions

Peel, core, and slice apples into a 8x8 pan. Add granulated sugar and cinnamon. Mix together.
For topping: Mix together flour, brown sugar and oats in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Spread over apples. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes or until brown and bubbly.
Serve with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or whipped topping.

This can also be made with blueberries, peaches, or a combination of fruits. Use your imagination!!! If desired, double topping and use the amount you like. Save the rest in refrigerator or freezer.

Not a NESTLÉ®-tested recipe.
