One of my favorite candies to make around the holidays. I like to make it before Christmas and give it in tins as gifts. Everyone likes it and is very appreciative when receiving some. I make it in several flavors and several colors.

Ingredients

1 cup water
1 cup white corn syrup
3 1/2 cups sugar 1 Tablespoon flavoring (any kind)
color of your choice

Directions

Mix ingriedients together in heavy saucepan. Stir until it starts to boil. Boil rapidly to 300 degrees or hard crack stage. Pour at once onto well greased cookie sheet with sides. After it cools, sprinkle with a little powdered sugar. Break into pieces. Store in jars with tight fitting lids in a dry cool place(not cold).

Not a NESTLÉ®-tested recipe.
