Hot Milk Cake

I found this delicious, moist cake recipe in a cookbook that my sister gave me years ago. It is not only good, but really easy to make. It does have a little different way of adding the baking powder.

1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups flour
2 eggs
1 cup Carnation Evaporated milk
1 stick butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons baking powder

In a saucepan, heat milk and butter, until hot, do not scald or boil.
In a bowl , beat eggs, add sugar, beat again.
Add flour and vanilla, add hot milk and butter mixture. Beat until well blended. Sprinkle baking powder over top of batter, fold in gentlyPour into greased and floured bundt pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Cool on cooking rack for 10 minutes before turning out on a plate, let cool, sprinkle top with confectioners sugar or ice with your favorite icing.

Not a NESTLÉ®-tested recipe.
