Delicious Chick Pea Crepes

It's a hit with kida and elders alike!


Chick Pea flour-1/4 to 1/2 of a glass;
Egg-1 or 2;
green peppers(deseeded)-as desired;
salt-just a dash of it;
parsley or coriander leaves-little
turmeric powder-a pinch or two
little oil


1.In a broad bowl,break the egg/s,to it add the turmeric powder and salt,Mix /beat well with a fork.
2.To this,add the finely chopped onion,green peepers,parsley or coriander leaves,Mix and add the chick pea flour to it and mix well without any lumps adding water to attain the correct consistency,ie,to a flowing consistency.
3.Then,heat a pan(non-stick)preferably,as,chickpea tends to stick otherwise to the bottom of the pan.When it's slightly hot,pour the mixed batter with a big hollow spoon.
4.Put very little oil on top of the crepe.Then keeping the gas at sim,cover the pan with a lid and let the pancake/crepe get cooked well.
5.Once it is done,fold the crepe into half or quarter and serve on a plate.
P.S.For a variation,before covering with the lid,one can sprinkle little cheese on top,cover,cook and serve.
Also note that it doesn't consume much oil and is hence a very healthy and nutritious breakfast that can be had by both the young and old alike.
Another point to be noted is that,this crepe will be slightly golden brown in colour at the bottom and pretty to look at too!
