Flourless Chocolate Cake

Chocolate cake which is made without using flour. Can also be made with Splenda to decrease the carbs and make it virtually carb free.


7 oz Semisweet Chocolate Blocks.
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
4 eggs, separated


1)preheat oven to 350 degrees
2)line 9 inch cake pan with greaseproof or non-stick paper and grease pan.
3)break chocolate into pieces and melt with butter using a double boiler
4)beat egg yokes with 1/2 of the suger
5)fold in melted butter and chocolate mixture
6)beat egg whites till frothy using electric mixer gradually adding the rest of the sugar till stiff peaks form
7)fold in beaten egg whites
8)bake approx. 40 minutes appearance will be slighty collapsed like a pie because of no flour being used
9)use knife to separate cake from paper Note cake is quite sticky.
