This apple crisp recipe is the best I have found. Served nice and warm it is an excellent treat on a cold winter day.

4 cups sliced or diced apples
1 cup flour
3/4 cup uncooked oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1 tsp. cinnamon

1 cup sugar
2 TBSP. cornstarch
1 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix first five ingredients (except apples) until crumbly. Press 1/2 crumbs into a 9" baking dish. Cover with 4 cups diced or sliced apples.
Place filling ingredients into a medium saucepan and stir until combined. Cook over low to medium heat, stirring constantly, until clear and thick. Pour filling over apples and top with remaining crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Not a NESTLÉ®-tested recipe.
