Cream the shortening and sugar until fluffy,Add the eggs and aniseed. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; add to the creamed mix.Add the apple juice and mix well. On a floured board, knead until well blended, about 4-5 minutes. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness; Cut into 2 inch shapes. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375º for 12-16 minutes. Roll in the cinnamon and sugar while still warm.
