Gooey Butter Pumpkin Cake

Different way to serve up pumpkin. The name says it all "Gooey Butter Pumpkin Cake." My family loves it.


1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick butter or margarine
1 egg

1 pound powdered sugar
1 stick butter or margarine (room temp)
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
dash salt
1 (8oz) cream cheese (room temp)
1 (15oz) can pumpkin


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Lightly spray 8-1/2" x 11" x 2"
pan with cooking spray.
Mix cake mix, 1 stick butter or
margarine and 1 egg. Spread in
bottom of pan.
Mix powdered sugar, 1 stick butter
or margarine, 3 eggs, vanilla,
cream of cheese, salt, and pumpkin
together. Mix well and spread over
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes
or until pumpkin comes loose from
sides of pan.
