Grease or spray a 9x13" metal rectangular pan, preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In large mixing bowl add vegetable oil, water and eggs. Mix with a spoon until all particles are moistened (about 50 strokes). Add walnuts, stir in. Slowly fold in cherry pie filling.
Spread batter evenly in pan bake 60 to 90 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
