Auntie Mae's Peach Cobbler

This recipe comes from my Grandma, she's was the greatest cook of all time.


1/2 C. margarine or butter 3/4 C. flour 3/4 C. milk 2 t. baking powder pinch of salt 2 C. peeled and sliced peaches 2 C. sugar 1/8 t. nutmeg


Put butter in large pan or casserole and melt. Mix dry ingredients and milk to make batter. (using 1 C. sugar). Use 1 C. sugar w/peaches (fruit). Pour batter over melted butter. Spread peaches (fruit) evenly over batter. Cook 1 hour at 350 degrees.
