Frozen Banana Pops

This is so quick and simple and the best part is they can be done for ANY holiday by simply changing the sprinkles. Halloween use orange and black. For Valentines day use Red and White. For an everyday treat I use Chocolate Puffed Cereal. You get the picture.


6 Large Bananas (you dont want them too ripe)
16 oz. Chocolate Chips
1/4 cup Butter
12 Lollipop Sticks or Wooden Pop Sticks
Sprinkles (any color)
(Optional) Chocolate Chips/Peanut Butter Chips
(Optional) Chocolate Puffed Cereal


Step 1:
Cut the bananas in half crosswise. Insert pop stick into cut end of each banana half. Place on tray; cover. Freeze 3 hours or until firm.
Step 2:
Micorwave chocolate and butter in small microwavable bowl on HIGH 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until chocolate is almost melted, stirring after 1 minute.
Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
Pour into tall glass.
Step 3:
Dip the frozen bananas into chocolate mixture, turning to evenly coat.
Immediately roll in sprinkles/chocolate puffed cereal/chocolate chips/whatever you want to stick to the bananas.
Place on wax papered-covered cookie sheet.
Serve immediately.
Cover leftover pops and store in freezer.
