Bake the cake mix in 13 x 9 inch pan as indicated on the cake mix. While hot, punch holes all over cake (use a straw). Boil cup sugar with pineapple. Pour this over the cake. Cool. Sprinkle half of nuts on top. Mix instant pudding as directed. Add about 1 cup coconut to this. Spread on cool on top of nuts. Top the cake with Cool Whip, then sprinkle coconut and nuts on top. Keep refrigerated.
