Chocolate Pie

1 (4 3/4 oz.) box chocolate Jello pudding, "Cook and Serve"
3/4 c. sugar
3 egg yolks (save whites for meringue)
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. milk

Mix Jello pudding, sugar, egg yolks, and 1/2 cup milk in small bowl. Pour in pan with the remaining milk. Add vanilla, stirring constantly until it thickens. Make sure burner is not to hot because you don't want to scorch the mixture. Pour into 9 inch pie shell. Beat egg whites and add about 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
Cover with beaten egg whites and brown in oven. Cool and keep covered in refrigerator.

Not a NESTLÉ®-tested recipe.
