Old-Fashioned Vanilla Ice Cream

Here is a homemade ice cream recipe that you can make with your ice cream maker for the 4th of July or any summertime occassion!!


4 c. heavy cream
1 1/2 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
2 T. pure vanilla extract
2 c. milk or half and half (you could use evaporated milk also)
Your favorite toppings(chocolate, strawberry, caramel syrup, fresh fruits, homemade cookies, etc.)


In a large bowl, whisk together all ingredients. Transfer to an ice-cream maker and freeze following manufacture's instructions. Store in an airtight container. Top with your favorite toppings or just eat plain!! :)
