Irish Spinch Quiche

Irish Spinch Quiche

This a good recipe for people who would like spinch a different way.


1 c. frozen chopped or leaf spinch
4 eggs 1/2 c. any kind of cheese, grated
1/2 c. heavy whipping cream 1/2 c. bacon,crumble
1/2 c. onions. chopped salt/pepper
4 tbsp. butter or margarine
1 c. mushrooms, sliced 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp.mustard 1 hard bioled egg,(for garnish)


Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
Cook bacon until crisp, crumble.
Saute onions,mushrooms in butter or margarine until soft.
Beat eggs.
Add spinch to eggs and mix.
Stir in the cheeses, whipping cream,bacon,onion and mushrooms, mix.
Add salt,pepper and nutmeg to taste.
Spread mustard into pie shell.
Pour egg mixture into pie shell (uncooked) pie shell.
Cook until firm, approximately 30 mins.
Garnish with slice s of hard boiled eggs.
