Chili Con Carne Seasoning Mix with beans
Makes about 6 cups
1 Lb. ground beef
1 large onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 (6oz.) can tomato paste
1 (8oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (10 oz.) can diced tomatoes & green chilies
3 T. Chili Con Carne Seasoning Mix
1 (15oz.) can pinto beans, drained & rinsed1. Brown meat over med.-high heat in 4-5 quart pot. Add onion and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, until onion is soft, but not brown,3-5 minutes. Drain any grease from meat mixture.
2. Add tomato paste and sauce, tomatoes and seasoning mix. Stir to combine. Bring chili to a simmer over med-high heat. Reduce heat to simmer and cook, covered, for 10 minutes.
3. Add beans and cook, uncovered,to heat the beans.
4. Serve topped with sliced black olives, chopped fresh cilantro and grated cheese
