Yogurt Coffee Cake

The good taste of sour-cream coffee cake without the fat.


1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
2 egg whites
1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
2 cups flour
1 taspoon soda
1 teaspoon baking powder

Nut Filling
1/2 cup chopped nuts
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon


Blend together margarine and oil. Add vanilla and sugar and best well. Mix in eg and egg white one at a time. Blend in yogurt. Slift flour, soda and baking powder together. Add to egg mixture and beat well. Place half of mixture in bottom of a non stick sprayed angel bood or bundt cake. Sprinkle with nut mixture. Pour remaining batter over nut mixture. bake until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean and dry . Cook and remove from pan.

Oven: 350 at 45 to 50 minutes.
