Buttery Honey Cake

"While visions of sugar plums danced in their heads". This is a wonderful addition to a Trim-A-Tree Party, New years Supper or even Brunch!

Ingredients

1 Box moist yellow cake mix
1 C water
1/3 C plus 1/4 C honey
1/3 C butter/margarine melted
1/3 C poppy seeds
3 eggs
1/2 tspn. pumpkin pie spice
1/3 C powdered sugar, sifted

Directions

Preheat oven to 350-degrees. Oil & flower 10" round cake pan with 2" high sides. Combine cake mix, water, 1/3 C honey, margarine, poppy seeds, eggs, & pie spice in large bowl. beat for 2 mins, or until well blended. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 45 mins, or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Cool cake in pan on cooling rack for 15 mins. Invert cake onto cooling rack & cool completely. Using wooden or metal skewer, poke abut 20 small holes all over top of cake. Drizzle remaining 1/4 C. honey over cake, allowing honey to sink into holes. Just before serving, dust with powdered sugar.
