Green Beans w/Almonds and Cheese Sauce

This is a quick and tasty way to make a side-dish of delicious green beans.They are delicious!! You can make ahead and take to a family gathering or make for a special holiday.


2 C. Carnation Evaporated Milk
1/4 C. Cornstarch
3 C. Cheese
1/2 Tsp. Course Ground Black Pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 C. Sliced Almonds
1 C. Chopped Green Chile
1/2. Sliced Black Olives
6 C. Canned Green Beans
(Drained and rinsed well)


In medium saucepan combine Carnation Evaporated Milk (undiluted) with 1/4 of cornstarch. Heat on medium heat until mixture thickens; add black pepper, salt, garlic powder and cheese; stir until cheese melts; add green beans, chile, olives an almonds. Keep warm in a cassorole dish in your oven or use immediately.
