Garlic Sesame Chicken Wings

This is great dish for pot lucks, party appetizers, as well as a main dish. I make this a lot when my hubby has the guys over to watch "the big game."


5 lbs Chicken wings or wingettes
1/3 Cup Sherry (optional), but tastes better with
1/3 Cup Soy Sauce
3 large Garlic cloves, minced or 3-4 Tablespoon bottled garlic
1/3 Cup Sugar (or less)
1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
1 extra large Egg
1 Cup Flour
1/4 Cup or more White sesame seeds


Combine wine, soy sauce, garlic and sugar. Add egg and blend/beat together until well incorporated. Pour into large zip lock plastic bag. Add chicken and mix until chicken is coated. Refrigerate and marinate overnight. Mix flour and sesame seeds until evenly distributed in another large zip lock bag. Drain chicken and add to flour mix, shaking to coat. If chicken isn't coated well, add more flour/sesame seeds. Deep fry at 350-365 degrees for 10 minutes; in batches if necessary. Drain and keep warm until serving time.
