Jordan Marshes Blueberry Muffins
Years ago Jordan Marsh in downtown Boston had a bakery in their store with these muffins. They were delicious.


6 tbls butter/margarine, 1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs, 1 1/4 C sugar, 1/2 Cup milk, 2 tsp baking powder, 2Cup flour
2 3/4C fresh berries or 2 1/2C frozen thawed & well drained.
Topping 3 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, mix well


Grease top surface of tin. Mix first 4 ingredients, add milk and remaining dry ingredients and mix. Fold in berries. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full sprinkle with topping. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cover with towel for 10 minutes.
Makes 12 muffins
