3 cups broken french bread slices
vegetable cooking spray
2 c. skim milk
1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. sliced natural almonds
1 Tbsp. plus 1 1/2 tsp amaretto
1/4 Tbsp. almond extract
3 eggs, beaten
Place bread pieces in a 9-inch square baking pan, sprayed with vegetable spray.
Combine skim milk and remaining ingredients, stirring well with a wire whisk. Pour milk mixture over bread pieces. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm. Yield 6 servings.
