Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bars

I use the Original Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. I double the recipe to make these delicious bars. I leave the nuts out.

Ingredients

4 1/2 Cups all-purpose flour
2 teas. baking soda
2 teas. salt
2 Cups butter or margerine, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
2 teas. vanilla extract
4 large eggs
24 ounces Nestles Toll House Semi sweet morsels (2 12 oz. packages)

For filling:
2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
12 oz cream cheese, room temp.

Directions

combine flour, bakings soda, and salt in bowl. Set aside. Beat butter, sugars and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels.
Lay out plastic wrap and make several logs out of the dough, wrapping well.
Chill for several hours.
Preheat oven 350 degrees
Grease a l3 x 9 pan. Line pan with sliced cookie dough a little less than a 1/2 inch thick, patting into place to completely cover bottom.
Mix cream cheese, with eggs, sugar until smooth. Pour over cookie dough in pan. Cover cream cheese mixture with additional cookie dough. Not necessary to completely cover cream cheese. Bake until cookie dough is golden. About 35 minutes. If some dough is left over, chill till bars come out of oven and make more cookies.
