All Purpose Mix

All Purpose Mix

I have had this recipe tucked away for a while and it helps in a pinch. This recipe is very similar to a name brand "all purpose" baking mix. Keep in mind you can half the recipe.

8 cups all purpose flour

1 1/4 cup Carnation nonfat milk powder

1/4 cup baking POWDER

1 TBL salt

2 1/4 cups shortening

Combine dry ingredients in to a large bowl. Using a wire wisk, cut in shorting until it resembles cormeal. Store in an air tight container. Keep in the fridge for longer freshness. Use in place of your name brand all purpose baking mix. You can't tell the diffrence!

Not a NESTLÉ®-tested recipe.
