We love to entertain and cook for friends and family when they drop in. When strawberries are in season, I serve this salad often. Because of its unusual combination of onion and berries, I sometimes have to encourage guests to try it. Once they do, they always come back for more!! And if you have your own strawberries (like we do) it is even better. Delicious!!

Ingredients

8 c. torn romaine
1 pt. fresh strawberries, sliced
1 small red onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings.
POPPY SEED DRESSING:
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. milk
2 T. poppy seeds*
2 T. white wine vinegar

Directions

In a large bowl, toss the romaine, strawberries and onion, In a small bowl, whisk the dressing ings. until blended. Serve with the salad
*I love to toast the poppy seeds, brings out the flavor of seeds.

Not a NESTLÉ®-tested recipe.
