Use a pastry cutter or 2 knives to combine ingredients for the crust. Should be coarse crumbs. Save 1/2 C. of this mixture to thicken the filling.
Put filling ingredients in a saucepan on the stovetop; add 1/2 C. crumb crust mixture and cook for 20 minutes.
On an ungreased cookie sheet, pat down 1/2 of the remaining crust mixture to form a crust.
Bake at 350* for 8 minutes.
Spread filling over the crust. Top with the remaining crumb mixture.
Return to oven and bake 30 minutes more. Let set at least 30 minutes before you cut it.
