Chesapeake House Crab Cakes

When the crabs are in season, this is a wonderful dish to make. But you can also make it with canned crabmeat.


2 slices bread
1 lb crabmeat
1 t Old Bay Seasoning
1 t prepared mustard
1/4 t salt
1 T mayonnaise
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 egg, lightly beaten
Vegetable oil for frying


Break bread in small pieces and moisten with water.
Mix all ingredients together and shape into cakes. Fry in oil until golden brown.
