Put butter, cocoa, milk and sugar into glass microwave bowl. (Some plastic bowls would melt with this recipe) Microwave mixture for 3 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil. Watch through the window to be sure. Remove immediately; add peanut butter, oatmeal, and vanilla to chocolate mixture; stir until combined. Drop by teaspoonful onto wax paper. As mixture cools, it will become hard; work fast. All cookies need to be set at least 30 minutes before transferring them to a plate or container to store. If they even last long enough to be stored! Makes 36 cookies.
